Are we really there for you on a weekend if you are in pain ? Well yes actually, we are! We wanted to clear up any confusion about this. If you phone the out of hours mobile telephone number. (It is always on the practice answer phone when we are closed). You do not get through to a call centre in Wales, or even some NHS out of hours service, you get to speak to Catherine, Charlotte or Angela.

We may not answer straight away, as we may be mowing the lawn, feeding the chickens or even bowling a few overs. So please leave a message and let us know who you are and what your urgent problem is and we will get back to you as soon as we can. With my batting skills it is only a matter of time before I get bowled out and so you probably won’t have to wait too long!!
We offer this service to our practice members because we care about you and want to make sure that if you really do need us, then you get seen by someone familiar, who cares, in an environment that you are comfortable with.
If it is a dental emergency, then your membership insurance will cover the call out charge!
You are expected to pay the first £15.
Don’t forget this. It is what you are paying for after all.
So what constitutes a dental emergency? Well it is:
-
Pain that wakes you up at night.
-
A swelling in the mouth.
-
Bleeding that is not stopping.
-
Knocking an adult tooth out in an accident.
What does not constitute a dental emergency? (Don’t forget it is our weekend too!)
-
Trying to rearrange or book appointments
-
A chipped tooth or broken filling
-
Denture repairs (All the denture labs are closed at weekends!)
